I understand that they won't all come from river systems with the same amount of current, but as a basic rule, how much current is natural for each species of Datnioide?

I tend to have a lot of current in my tanks to prevent deadspots, and my 55 growout containing my NGT, and hopefully soon, 3 IT's, has 2 Aquaclear 802 powerheads with attachment (along with 2 air-powered sponge filters and a Whisper 30-60). Is this too much current? Not enough?

What about a 6' 150 with ~1300 gph flowing through it? Too much? Not enough?

What kind of current do you keep your dats in?

Thanks,

Will

They don't mind current. I have a Rio32HF (1920 gph) and a Quietone 3000 (748 gph) on my 225 gal (72x30x24) and they live just fine.

Thanks, what size are yours though? The ones i have are ~5".

I have 2 fx5 on 125g & 2 air stones so water is strong. I think my tigers prefer this.

I run 2 fx5's and a ac110 on my 180 with 2 air stones and they seem to like it. On my 125 i run 2 ac110 and a fx5. They seem to like the high oxygen in the water.
