I am hoping to set up my 500 gallon tank in the near future. I want to keep arowana, oscars, different varieties of knife fish, and a tiger shovel nose cat. I may get the shovel nose RTC hybrid. I know arowanas prefer slower moving water and cats like high current. I have two 1100gph pumps. Will this be too much for the arowanas and enough flow for the cat fish?

i think it would work, although i have just about no experience with massive tanks like that. lol.
what location would you be mounting the pumps?
and do the cats swim all over the tank or more on the bottom?
maybe mount them on the bottom...then the cats can have bottom and the aro will have the middle-top with less current??

The tank is bottom drilled with 4 holes. The pumps will be under the tank and will push the water through 4 canister filters and 2 UV lights. I also have a sump I will use. I can direct the water any way in the tank, but either way there will be 2000 gph of movement.
