I know piranhas like to swim against a current, I have a Fluval 3 filter that shoots out water and was wondering if that was enough current for them. It is strong enough to make the plants that are within 1 foot of it sway, and you can see that it is able to push particles (leftover food) across the tank.

before we suggest powerheads etc what size tank is it?

size of your tank, and size of your piranha

4 RB's only about 2 inches in a 55, I know that i will have to upgrade once they reach maturity. I have 2 fluval 3's that combine for a total of 68 gallons of filtration, going to get 1 more once the RB's get about 5 inches.
