curses i hate this time of year

i have a 180 gallon with indos, mpwimbe fronts, and seveurms. filtration is 2 fx5 1 xp4 and a mega sized uv sterilizer. my fish seem to be floating on air the water is so clear. 50% water changes every week but evry 3 months i service and clean all my canisters AAARRRGHHHH!!!! ----these fx5 are the king of canisters but they are the heaviest things in the world to manuver and lift from underneath a stand..just venting

I hope you are staggering your filter cleanings I would be doing one a month instead of all in one month. It would be a shame to unbalance your crystal system.

yeah i do the xp4 which is filled with lava rock every 2 months in addition whenever i clean any filter i "clean" the sponges and media with the water from inside the filter--like george lopez says "i got this"

hahaha yeah my tank is the exact same way but this time around out of no where my water got turbo cloudy after i cleand my filters... and iv done water change after water change and its getting worse

probably an algae bloom---try a uv sterilizer or a diatom filter
