Does anyone know why a giant danio would have what I can only describe as a curved spine? The fish literally is curved to one side. I've had other danio do this also. I think I've read something about it before but I can't remember where or what it said.

I've had a number of Danios over the years do that very same thing. It is not confined to any one type of Danio and all of my fish have an excellent diet and water conditions. It is usually only one in a group that I have owned and in other tanks where ther are different types it, again, will only be one. I chalk it up to the quality of danios after mass breeding for cheap fish. The ones that get a curved spine still live fairly long, although not a full life span.
