I have been looking a few days and found some threads on this subject but most are older and didn't answer what I was looking for. Figured I would ask on a new thread but what paint are people using to paint their backgrounds and a sealer if used? I plan to try using Styrofoam and using concrete or paint to get the color I want. Any ideas would be great! Thanks

Have you looked into using dry-lock instead of concrete? It is waterproof by itself and can be colored, no sealer or ph swings necessary. However it does not add much strength to the styrofoam so if you have aggressive fish that will bite it you might look for concrete.
Iv been looking for aquarium sand paint myself to make artificial coral I'd love to find a clear coat I could spray on that wouldn't harm the fish or deteriorate in salt water
