Custom Enclosure Questions:

Hey I just got bored with my life:

I've grabbed a notebook and have been writing down what to buy like lumber, screws, vents etc..... and prices for specific lizards that I want. Like for examle I'm currently writing down a Savannah monitor enclosure.

It is like this:

"Savannah Monitor Enclosure Build"

The Home Depot (Supplies)

4- 15/32 Western, 8 feet by 4 feet by 1/2 inch

Each Board $16.97

1 of the boards above would be cut to form the rectangular shape of an 8ft by 4ft by 4ft enclosure.

This is how it is, their is still plenty off stuff needed to be taken in to consideration for this savannah monitor tank.

Well my question is:
What paint should I use to seal the tank to make the wood resistant to water?
Also are these vents ok to use?

Last but no least, what kind of paint should be used for the finish product after the water sealant has been used?

Also if you have an helpful information that would help greatly thanks, also post up your pictures of custom tanks!!!!

I don't know about the paint but you are going to want a screen top and lights so don't forget those.

screen top, i did almost for get those lol, but wouldn't the vents cover that? Just curious because the vents are easier....
