so i need a glass top for my 125. Its an older tank, with no braces and half inch glass. it hold water and everything, im just missing the top. is there anyone who can make me a glass top for this bad boy??

i just made a custom plexiglass top for mine, more expensive, but much lighter. ask around at a hardware shop or get them to cut glass for you.
i had some sheets of lexan laying around the house so i just used one of those and custom cut everything myself to fit my lights, chords, and everything. so i didnt spend anything but plexiglass gets pretty high. the best thing to do would be to ask around for prices on plexiglass, its much easier to cut than glass and if you have a jigsaw or sawzall you can cut it yourself. more likely than not if someone sells it they will cut it to size for you too.

If you live in a hard water area the glass will get stained quickly with calcium/limescale and will need to be cleaned often when you do the tank each week (like mine)...
If you have soft water without a lot of calcium/limescale then its a lot easier... I wouldnt go for the plastic/perspex option if you have hard water as cleaning it with a scourer will cause major scratches and itll end up looking terrible in no time.
