Custom Lighting for a 55 Gallon

Hey everyone, I'm thinking about buying a 55 gallon aquarium. I want to plant it but there is only two 15 watt lights on it. I want to build a custom light to achieve about 5 watts per gallon. Please make a list of the needed materials. Any help is appreciated.

goto you hardware store
get some flourescent generators. and get some large watt flourescent bulbs

do you know how much it'll cost?

cost me around $200-300 but i was dumb and got 4 ballists you could do it for 100 and get away with it, if you go with t8's you can easly do what i did for about 50-100... not SUPER cheap but not bad.
