I was THINKING of doing a 180 saltwater tank as my "summer project" and thought SW fish were so beautiful but i got talked out of it cause i dont want to be losing 30-100 dollar fish on a regular basis.
---------------ANYWAYS------------------

Instead i have decided to do a CUSTOM plywood tank. It can be anywhere from 180-500 gallons...
THIS IS MY FIRST "BUILT" TANK!

Now, I have plenty of monster fish
Such as, 26 inch clown knife, arowana, bichirs, oscars, ETC.

I WANT SOME REAL COOL INTERACTIVE EPIC END ALL MONSTERS OF EPICOSITY!!!!

I want to try PBass...
I have NEVER had ANY experiance with them before though...

BASICALLY......
Pbass will be the main "show specimens".
I also want some other new things i have not tried...
I WANT TO TRY ALL NEW SPECIES

Maybe a large type catfish something LIKE a RTC but something that does NOT eat everything XD XD XD

I have ALWAYS wanted RAYS
but not sure i have enough experience or money XD

Maybe Datnoids???

Geophagus???

IDK BUT LEAVE SUGGESTIONS AND CRITICISM PLEASE!!!

THANK YOU ALL SOOO MUCH!

If you can afford it bigger is always better, especially when keeping monsters. I think it's awesome that your interested in peacock bass. I ended up getting three kelberi bahia for a steal. First pbass I have ever had. There was a learning curve from the wc scalare angels I used to have. Do all the research you can on anything before you get it. Not trying to be rude, but so many people jump before they can swim. Check compatibility before you get your pbass friends. I also have 4 dats in my tank they get along great with the pbass, just make shure if you do get dats that you get at least 3 or more they tend to endlessly pick on each other if you don't have a group.

look here is what i would do with a 500g, i would do 3-4 pbass 1 datnoid 1 arowanna and you said you wanted a large cat, but not really large cat will fit in a 500 for life so i would do a tigrinus or a juruense catfish they get to about 24" and are really darn pretty, not a super heavy stock as you can see

I want to get some rays for my tank. I've been thinking about getting them for quite a while now. The local fs finaly has some in stock. Think I'm gunna get them nxt week.

Nah... I already got an arowana in my 350... I was thinking the bass as big predators and maybe 2 other big predators of the same kind (datnoids maybe) i am thinking of not getting datnoids though and maybe getting a geophagus school and a ray or 2 (if i got money lol)
