so instead of wasting all of that glass that could be put to better uses I want to get or make a custom ray tank at first I was thinking 8'x4'x1'5" is this not tall enough? If so how tall should I go? These dimensions come out to be exactly 360 gallons? Any idea on the cost of such a custom made tank....

Those are awesome dimensions. If space wasn't a problem, I would go even wider if I could. Cost? Expect to pay close to 10g's for the tank.

Sounds good :)

You'll be sastified with the 96"x48"x24". Most of my ray tanks are that dimension. Plenty of room for most ray species.

i bought my 8x4x2 tank in acrylic for £1400 here in the uk. its spot on for rays. i have no rays at the moment i had to sell my collection to pay for the tank so im starting off from scratch again.

that s a handy website david
i have a 96,36,30 in the makeing
price 3200
stand 1100
thats with a built in sump
acrylic is a expensive material so i've heard
