Custom stand and LED light tube

This project is for a 40 gallon breeder. There is also a canopy coming. I'll post pics as it progresses. I decided to make my own LED light tube and it seems to work fine. It will lay like how it is in the picture but will be hidden by the canopy. Please comment.

Here are some pictures of the stand and canopy done except for the hinging. This was stained with a natural stain and turned out lighter than expected.
