custom tank question

Ive got 2 10's layin around and was thinking to cut them up and use the front and back of them to make a new tank. I know to just use caulk to get the 4 peice of glass, but im thinking about using plywood for the base. What is the best way to join the glass and plywood.

Also if it matters im thinking about using this for a SW tank.

I used Silicone for my 310. Make sure it's something that doesn't have anything to fight mildew as that can leach into the water. GE Silicone 1 is what I used
