Cutest BN Plecos but...

I was given a nice bonus when I purchased my stendker discus - cutest little babes! 1-1.5"

they say BN's are preferred for discus tanks since they don't grow so large & they therefore don't eat as much or poop as much! NOT!

I just witnessed a 3" strand from 1 babe!

& also observed one darkie being a bit aggressive with an albino. my my temperamental they are. the albie stood its ground tho!

another observation - I had a regular pleco in my 72gal BF - man did it poop a lot! more than my 4 angels & baby albino corys put together!

anyone make this observation on pleco poop? they look like mice doo doo!

sorry to all if this thread doesn't sit well with you. just needed to share with those who have gone thru similar experience!

i dont notice much waste from my BN plecs actually i think they are pretty clean the bigger ones are a different story

yea plecos are poop machines. I have a pleco only tank and I vacume up a pile of poop every week that when sitting in the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket at will just about cover the entire bottom of the bucket so you cant see the bottom. I have 12 plecos in that tank.

Yeah, I have 2 med. reg. plecos that poop a lot - perfect mates with my angels which also poop a lot.

in my discus tanks I have 7 cute tiny baby BN's + a baby royal. I have seen the babes pooping strands as long as they are (1 - 1 1/2"). but it's the discus that poop the most!

W/C & vac daily!!
