cutting acrylic sheets? and tank bottom?

what kind of saw blade is used to cut 4x8 sheets of acrylic to a smaller size, say like on a table saw? or is it done a different way? im talking about 1/2-3/4" thick sheets to build a tank.

also can i use a thinner sheet of acrylic for the bottom, say 1/2", for a 8x4 tank because its not really holding any weight if the stand is built properly.

It can be cut on a table saw, use a fine toothed blade

i will be making an acrylic tank but proboably not till next year. my father in law thinks it will be fun and were both mechanichally inclined so were goin for it.

i was gonna try and make a tank before i bought the 150 but i have no expeirience (obviusly) and my dad works till 6 at night so it would take years.
