cutting egg crate/light diffuser

what do you guys use to cut it ? tried cutting some pieces for a sump im building and everything i tried had horrible results.

I just used pliers to snap it small piece by piece, makes a mess tho

I just use any old wire snipper with a flat edge and take off the roughness as I go. my eggcrate is approx 5/8 inch square holes.

Tin snips, and then I'll use a dremel with a sanding disk to smooth the cut edges out further.

i saw a video on you tube and a guy used a chisel/file thing and just hit it like a karate chop and it went down the whole way. . . . i wouldnt recommend this but it looked easy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQDepqFLpF4 fast forward to 9:00

I used snips worked ok

Actually it works pretty good with large knife or shank of a medium screw driver. Once you snap the first, you can just push down and the it will go all the way down. It is much easier than cutting one at a time.
