Cyano X Dempsey

For the past week my Cyano has been trying to breed and I found some eggs today.

Now im not sure if these have been fertilized or no. Jack Dempsey is acting a little strange, so he might have have fertilized them. Hes certainly not aggressive like her.
Will a female fish lay eggs if theres no interested males?
How soon can i tell if they are fertile?
Anybody interested in JackxCyano's? Both are great looking specimens. I will try to get a picture of him but his pearls never show right.
Im guessing they will look something like this.

I had a pink Convict lay eggs twice without a mate, so there is a possibility that nothing happened between them. If they start turning white and falling apart within a day, the deed wasn't done. My Dempseys have spawned 3-4 times each and nothing, while my black Convict and HRP had 2 successful spawns. Their 3rd was eaten by my flowerhorn. My pink Con and a Cutteri have spawned together as well. Crazy fish pairing up with other species. I plan to keep 1 of each so I can have a couple unique fish while giving 1 of each most likely to a friend and probably throwing the rest in with my flowerhorn and friends.
