Cyanoguttatus or Carpintis ID thread!

I bought this guy from a lfs, it was sold as Jack Dempsey. I noticed it was a Texas but i dont know if it is a Cyanoguttatus or a Carpintis.
I would appreciate if you could ID it for me. Its 3".

I would say Carp but not 100% sure... Of course lol
 
Look absolutely identical to the Carpintis I got from Fish Farm. Big spots & worm markings on face= H. carpintis & small uniform spots= H. cyanoguttatus (thanks to Rush for telling me that awhile back).
 
Spots are too small to be carpintis.

I don't have any photos of a "normal" carpintis, but here is my H. carpintis "Escondido" at a small size to compare with.

i say carpintis. cyano usually have silvery spots
 
This guy has silvery spots.
 
My answer is the same as it was in the other thread..Cyano...or hybrid...

unless im colorblind, those spots look very blue in the 3rd pic. mine was identical at that age, and this is how he turned out. yours could be a hybrid of the two, but definitely not pure cyano
