Cyberwatse's poor man's 10 gallon

this is my thread to show the progress of my super low budget tank build...

i bought this tank and stand for $10 it came with everything but i didnt like the lid it came with so i bought a glass lid. and i used this tank as my feeder tank but i found it cheaper to buy market shrimp so i had a empty tank... and got bored...

what is use to look like

bought a light and added sand then added a arrowhead plant
note: the plant was only under water for a day cause i didnt do research on the plant...

bought a garden hook (the smallest one i could find =/)

what it looks like right now...
not sure what my next move is yet, but i need more plants(i know).

and as for the fish i have 1snakeskin gourami 7? molly fry (thanks kittykatfish100) and two random synos that im growing out for my sister

thats all for right now and il update as i go

back from the dead update

my snake skin gourami died. it was casing around my sister syno so i moved it in to the 55 and it tried hiding under my bullhead and it bit him and he died haha. its ok it wasnt even worth having...

any way

this is my tank now, im gonna remove that "root" thing soon. im gonna buy a new plant(s) soon. and the "plant holder" isnt holding my plant right, right now and its simply a car cup holder ($1.99 for 4)

yes im aware sooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmeeeee fish could get caught in this but my fish are tooo small

i havent had a filter in my power head for like 5 weeks so i cant really tell if i have seen any difference

if you have smaller fish its a great idea in my opinion and you have to get the plant to sit right which can be pretty tricky
