CYCLE QUESTION

I cleaned out my filter media for an aquaclear 500, It has dried out and everything. CAn I still use it? Or should I buy some new media?

You can still use it, although it will have no living bacteria on it. So You will have too go through the whole cycle process again

next time wash it with old tank water, keeping it wet and still has the bacteria

i would use all the same but get a new carbon bag

the ceramic rings should be replaced every 6 months the micro pores plug up if they are that old chuck em

Aqua Clear 500 uses foam, and carbon right? Never seen the ceramic rings media for one...

take that carbon bag and throw it as far as you can...

yes Ac500's come with bio-rings
