Cycle Question?

Im getting a used 125 long in a couple of hours and need to know how long I should cycle it. Because I have a 10" Pleco and a 5" oscar in a 10 gal right now and cant keep them in there to much longer.

I've never had problems with uncycled tanks in emergencies IF I did daily water changes.

Sometimes you need to put a fish in a tank, and its not cycled, and generally it won't be too stressing if the tank is big enough, the fish is small enough, and you do enough water changes.

Isn't there any way you can transfer some used bio media from another tank into the filter from the new tank?
