how long does it take to cycle a freshwater tank that has gravel that has been in a cycled tank and also some water from a cycled tank as well?

I got an old 50 gal tank from someone thats been sitting outside for months. Threw a handful of old gravel in it, filled with new water, ran it for 2 days and thew the fishes in it. Still in it except now with a batch or new frys.

I just got my 90g on sunday and i got the sump all setup and running today, i threw some of the "used" gravel in it and about 4 gallons of "used" water in it, how long should i wait before i put my fish in?

I suggest a bit of reading up on how a nitrogen cycle works in fish tanks.
Take a look into both styles of tank cycling, fishless and with fish.
In your reading you will see how many things come into play during the cycling of a fish tank making how long it would take you to cycle a guess at best.

i'd suggest testing the water to make sure its okay. it really sucks if you dont wait out the cycle cause you will most likely have to worry about spikes later on. i currently have a 72 cycling which i add stabilize to and its been running for 5 days, it will probably run for another 2 weeks before i put fish in it
