cycle ?

I recently started a 150 gal that has a sump.
Can i just take a couple of dirty filter pads from a whisper 60 and set them in the top chamber of the new sump? Will this help along the process?

If the dirty filter pads come from a clean tank (parasite free) with a good cycle. Then absolutely yes it should help ! Great way to kick start the cycle.

Thats what I would do.As long as the stocking starts off small and is built up,or do a fishless cycle.
