I have been running my 30 gallon for 5 days now with filter media from another tank a few snails and 2 goldfish. My nitrate and ammonia levels are both at 0. I am running a Eheim 2217 canister filter on it. Do you think my tank is established enough to add a couple figure 8 puffers?
What are you testing with? Do you have nitrate? Only enough room for a single F8 in there.

Don't think there is enough room for even one considering he already has 2 goldfish in there.
Until the goldfish are just for cycling or he does large water change everyday
Did you read that article? 15g is the bare minimum but 20g is much better.

I hope you're planning on removing the GF. It really isn't necessary to cycle with fish.
The gold fish and snails are only in the tank to cycle it. I will only be keeping 2 figure 8's in the tank. I dont have a test for nitrate but my nitrite is at 0.
If your nitrate is 0, then your tank isn't cycled. If you read that article I wrote & profile, you'd see that that tank is not the appropriate size for 2 F8s.
