cycling 55 gallon help!!!!!!!!

i have an empty 55 gallon and dont know what to put in it

. i was thinking a couple female cons or male cons with same sexed firemouths and a pictus catfish. will not get opposite sexed fish to make a pair. how many cons and firemouths would be able to house with a pictus catfish?

should i just get mbuna with my 55 gallon cookie cutter tank.

any ideas you have with a 55 gallon is appreciated

I would get 2 pictus as they don t do well alone, and 1 F M 1 con and a blue acara for variety . Then watch and see how thinks work out.

i tend to find pimelodus pictus get whitespot if nitrite is present?

i already got the idea guys i gonna get a pictus catfish maybe two
1 severum
2 firemouths
4 danios
maybe 2 bolivian rams (wont get a pair)



what you think about this combo ???

I suspect that the firemouths will harass the rams until they die. The sev might work out if it's larger than the firemouth, but if it gets too big, the 55g might be a little tight for it.

i heard firemouths are very peaceful and i will try to pick the most well behaved looking one at the lfs. i dont think the severum will outgrow the tank and then i heard dovii need a mininum of 180 to one specimen.

any other ideas??

instead of either the sev or FM's you could get a few angels, but i think that pretty much sums it up.
