Cycling a cichlid tank

I am cycling a 75 gal. tank with about 20 ghost shrimp. When I put my cichlids in, and they decide to start dining on the shrimp, will the shrimp hurt them?

I wouldnt think so. I mean, people use them as an occasional treat for a little betta, so I'm sure the cichlids will have no problem

No. I did the same thing with tiger barbs. Cichlids grew larger and ate the barbs and it was no big deal.
