I am cycling my 90 g with Prime. I have four Mollies. Yesterday the water was like fog. I am on day 6 of the cycle and the first reading of Ammonia was yesterday. Zero on the Nitrate and trite.
Is this ok?

My other concern was that I feed one crushed up shrimp a day. It is Omega brand and freeze dried. That can't be an issue can it?

never heard of cycling a tank with prime. you will want to create ammonia in the tank in order for bacteria to feed and grow in your filter. prime will kill that along with any nitrites and nitrates that you will need at this point. do you have any up and running tanks or have friends close by that do that maybe you could steal some cycled media from?

By using prime you're detoxifying all the ammonia which isn't letting the cycle get started. I would immediately stop using that, try to find some established media to seed with, and even consider using a cycling agent like Dr. Tims one and only. I've never used "bacteria in a bottle" before but I've heard that Dr. Tims is the way to go if you decide to use one.

Yeah definitely stop using Prime. Stability works very well and takes about a week, but as stated above if you can steal some seeded media it'll go much faster. I've used Stability about a dozen times with good success, but seeded media is really the easiest an quickest method if you can get some

Prime doesn't "get rid" of ammonia, it simply converts it to ammonium which is much less toxic to fish. Your biofilters can still absolutely use ammonium as a food source. If this WEREN'T the case, every time you would do a water change with it your cycle would crash! Think about it...
