I am setting up the plumbing and filtration on my 500g tank and was recomended this product for faster cycling.
It's made by Aquasonic an Australian aquaculture and aquarium supplier, it should make the process much faster and more simple.
I bought the concentrate.
Here the product info

Nice, you could do a reveiw on this and let us know what happens. Just keep a daily journal of the test readings.

I think that's a great idea, I am very interested to see the results it can provide.

Yeah i bought a small yellow bottle at the lfs that they kept refrigerated. it stated that it would be ready in 24 hours. I waited 48 just to be safe and had no problems putting fish in.

This one is not refridgerated but does contain live strains of bacteria.
I am going to monitor the cycling process closely.

Started cycling my new tank with my Alligator gar as the sole fish.
The product recommended 10-20% stocking rate until cycling is complete.
I am running a Jebo giant 950 at the moment stocked full of Ehfisubstate only.

I applied the Nitriphying bacteris directly onto the media and added some active-bac waste assimulating bacteria to each tray of media to further aid the cycling process.
48hr hours later nitrites are 20-40ppm so I did a 15% water change using Prime and will keep you all posted on the cycling process.

Here is the waste assimulating bacteria product for you guys also.

i usually read people say not to use prime while cycleing a tank because it gets rid of the ammonia that the bacteria feeds on. I don't know and i don't use prime anyway but just wanted to share what i had read a few times. But since you have fish in there it might be a good thing to use. As long as you keep getting nitrite and don't start getting ammonia is sounds like the addatives completed the first part of the cycleing process. ------------keep us updated

Interesting, I didn't think of that (not using Prime) but I will check the reading tomorrow.
If I have nitrites present the cycling process should have started.
