So after reading the sticky I have chosen to use Method 1 with the shrimp in the pantyhose. Just placed both in the tank today any helpful tips would be appreciated so I don't screw up the cycling process. I'll have pics & updates throughout the week, thank you.
 
The only tip I can give is leave the lights off and let it sit. In a couple days the shrimp will start to decay. After a few days start checking you water to see what stage of the cycle you are in. It will probably take about 4 to 6 weeks to complete. When you see 0 nitrite to a 50% water change and then you are ready to add the CUC. Good luck!
