i have been cycling a new tank for about three weeks now . i used water from an establised tank to fill about half way and the other half with new water and rinsed off and old filter in the tank aswell ect ect i have two young oscars in the tank . my question is my ammonia levels are a little high and my nitrites are a little high my nitrates are about 10ppm should i do water change tonight on the tank or just leave it alone till nirates kick into full gear and break ammonia and nitrites down . i just dont want the fish to die because of ammonia and nitrite levels are high .

thanks for your help

o i am also using bio support to help cycle faster

If I were you, I would just wait until ammonia and nitrite both hit zero. Nitrate doesnt help nitrite or ammonia to go down, it is the end product of their breakdown. Once they are gone, do a water change and add some Purigen. Also, how big is your tank?

so if i leave the tank alone they will go down on there own hitting the 0 mark ?

I'm cycling a 180....I'm doing the same....Waiting for the Nitrates to naturally come down....Because when they do, I believe it's a sign that there is a nice colony of established bio bacteria in the tank...;)

The nitrates will not naturally come down. NH3 and nitrites will.
