umm whats the best way to cycle a tank?? the tank is well over 100g im getting it tomorrow. whats one of the quickest ways so i can put my oscar in there???

Also buy a product called "cycle" and dump it in. Or a better but more difficult to obtain product called Bio Spira.
Seeding your filter from another will start the process but will take weeks to finalize.
If your trying to get it running by this weekend... Bio Spira is about your only choice, lfs carry it and it has to be refrigerated to keep it good. It is rather expensive tho. Make sure to dechlor the now tank water or it will kill the bio spira. When you setup the filter also seed it with some fresh old material from your other filter.
Get a test kit if you don't have one to test the water before you drop your Oscar in.
How big is your O ? Any pix?

Hmmm..too bad you're getting your new tank so quick. If you had known you'd be getting a new tank you could have set up a new filter onto you're existing tank, this way it will already be set up with the bacteria.
Like one of the posters said, bio-spira is your best bet to jump start the new tank quickly.
