They are in a tank with 5f and 2m. 2 of the females are holding currently. There are also 2 small 1.5 inch calvus in the tank who I know are fry eaters. I have a 10g tank empty at the moment available. What should I do to be able to keep these fry???

I leave mine in the tank the whole time with the other fish. Then at about 21 days, put the female in a bucket, strip her, and put her back in the main tank.
The fry go into a 10 gallon and get well crushed up New Life Spectrum food.

I have some cyps too.
The great thing is that mine do not eat their babies.
So if you only have cyps in the tank, I would just let mom spit them naturally.
The fry are actually pretty large. They typically have 6 or less fry in their mouth at once.
Feed them finely ground flake and they will do well.
Congrautlation.

Oh, mine are also Leptosoma, variety "Blue flash"

How long usually until they naturally spit the fry?

I am guess around four weeks but I have never let mine go that long. I have one holding, maybe I will try the four week time frame and see.

Hey guys, one female has spit her fry! I currently have a divider set up in my 30 gal with 4 females on one half. The fry are there as well. My question is do you think I can raise the fry where they are? Males and calvus are on other side of divider
