Cyprichromis Price?

Just finished setting up my tanganyikan project when I went to my LFS to find Cyprichomis at $22 a piece. I need at least a school of 20 but I don’t want to spend $400 on Cyprichomis. Is this a normal price? Does anyone know a place that sells for cheaper?

That is right in line with the prices I have seen. Wet Spot has some but at that price. Dave’s rare fish are a little less expensive but then there is shipping.
I’m jealous your local fish store carries them.

Yeah I guess they’re so expensive because they don’t ship well. I may be able to work out a deal for them at the fish store because I’m friends with the owner

I paid almost $18 Canadian each (just over $13 U.S.), three years ago for f1 Cyps that were 1.5 - 2 inches in length. That included shipping and tax. Shipping was cheap as I ordered other fish too. It was from a place in Canada as that is where I live.

I find baby Cyps grow quite slowly and have a higher mortality rate along the way so I think there are more factors involved apart from maybe just not shipping well.
