Well, been thinking bout going back to African Cichlids... Was just woondering before I do... Can I keep say 1 male and 3 females in a 55 gall? Maybe even add like 5 or 6 yellow labs?

I wouldnt keep them in a 55 gallon. More like a 75 or 90.

Nah, they would be okay in a 90 gallon.

That is fine to start with. Remember that the moorii's do tend to grow a lot bigger than most mbuna, 20+cms.

But don't moorii also grow slower then most mbuna.. i've had 3 in my 55g for almost 2yrs before i had to move them to my bigger tank.. then again they were pretty small when i first got them.. 1.5" or so.. good luck

they'll get up to 9" and should be in a tank at least 6' long with sand and large rocks.

definatly a six foot tank for dolfins or any of the larger africans. youll enjoy them alot more if they have room to grow.

I believe that you should just go with the dolphines and forget about the labs.

Yep agree with everyone else.. are you planning on breeding them? Mine seem to be very unreliable mothers. They drop their eggs at the slightest distraction only to pick them back up later if they see them.
