I wanted to share the experience I had as I was having that first cup of coffee this morning. I've had these two blue dolphines for about a year now and they're about 6-7 onches. They have been trying to spawn for about 2 months with no success so I thought this morning was just another fling. This morning was different as I noticed actual eggs being splayed very quickly with the male in a frenzy behind her. I've never raised this species before so please feel free to comment. Enjoy.

I'm sorry to let everyone know, we lost the fry. I had to move her to her own tank as she was getting beat up and harrassed not stop by her mate. She held for 3 full days and then apparently she ate her eggs. My wife and I are pretty bummed but we'll try again soon, (kinda sounds like we're trying to have a baby ourselves)

Ahh sorry to here that. It's still exciting when it happens. I recently had some blue rams spawn and I am just waiting for the eggs to disappear. Beautiful fish you have there.

nice moorii, you should probably get him some more females. That way the aggression will not be targeted at one fish.
