I was just searching for D. compressiceps and one site listed peacocks as acceptable tankmates. I thought that the comps would be too aggressive, but am I wrong? I have a 150 with assorted peacocks and if they would be fine together I would love to have some comps in there too. Another site listed the comps at the lowest level of aggression for haps.

i have mine in with mbuna and he is fine now. only have yellow labs as i got rid of the rest as they were very aggressive and battered her a bit too much for my liking

Comps are really not all that agressive like others make them out to be, or least from my experience with them. Mine was pretty cool I had in a tank with haps for awhile then a mix of mbuna. They all seemed fine. As for peacocks I dont see why it couldnt work, I ve seen it done before. I think its something you could always try out.

Like Ash said, they aren't as aggressive as people make them out to be. They only seem aggressive with other D. Compressiceps, and more the females than the males. I had my comp. with a ton of other fish that he had no problem with, he is about 8 in and he was in w/ a 1 1/2 in Fusco, never messed with him. He's been in w/ lamp compressiceps, baby fronts, peacocks, pike cichlids, I even put a betta in the tank one time to prove to a friend he wouldn't kill it.
