I decided to go for something smaller, cheaper and lesser maintaince, but I made the mistake again

Acquired 10 WC Satanoperca Daemon, upon research, they are even more delicate to take care than discus

Never had. Why difficult? Discus are not difficult, imho, where lies the difficulty with these?

Satanoperca daemon delicate? I'm not sure you know what you're talking about here. They're one of the hardier eartheaters, in my experience.

Discus is not difficult if you give them a lot of water change. A lot of water change = a lot of work for big tank! xD

low ph, low conductivity, clean water

Hard to create a large amount of acidic clean water for water change

or it will develop HITH or HILL
