I perform daily 20℅ water changes on the majority of my setups. This is mainly due to my OCD but I'm wondering if it's too much, or if it's beneficial to my fish..?

I age the water in tubs and use five gallon buckets for refills. A friend of mine says I'm stressing my fish but I see no signs of stress.

Your fish get used to it. I think that it's great if you can keep that up. It will keep the water quality very steady, which is a good thing. There are discus keepers that do 50-100% water changes every day.

I would just watch out for nitrate creep. Basically, if your tank is heavily stocked, the 20% a day might actually be enough and your total nitrates might "creep" up over time. As long as you keep an eye on it and do a single large water change to "reset" the nitrates, you will be just fine.
