Probably a bogus post. I think people do that sometimes just to get a rise outta people.
I was trying to sell my 100gal. Some guy strung me along via e-mail for almost a week. We arranged a time for him to come take a look at it and he flaked. Never heard from him again. Probably for the better though. I decided to just keep that tank.

CL can be sketchy. I buy pretty much all my tanks from CL. I'm pretty strict with it though. I ONLY deal in cash. Must see the tank set up with water, etc.
and when I'm selling I say "sorry i hold the tank for no one. If you can get here then its yours. I don't care who called first."
To many people flake out on you. of course I've flaked out on others so....just part of cl.

I understand but to see a 300 gallon set up for $500 buicks got me alll excited and now i feel disappointed cause i was already planning on how to set it up. here is the link incase anyone wanted to see.

Those deals do exist. I just missed a 150 gallon acrylic whole setup with filter heater stand.
The guy bought a new house and that was in the garage left by the old owner. He didn't know how much it was worth and was selling it for $200.
I got a 95 gallon with everything for $125. Never had one problem with it.

my local graiglist was selling a 55 complete with rattlesnake for 50 bucks turns out the snake was actually a big bull.
