Dam Sliding

has anyone ever done this? there are a couple small/medium dams in my area and some friends and i thought it be fun. they are like 10-12 feet high and end up dumping off in a 3' deep pool as part of a river. any advice or warning precautions? also is this illegal? there aren't any "no trespassing" signs around the dam and i see fishermen on it all the time. this might sound really dumb but it looks awesome. just want to make sure i won't die doing this lol.

its was a joke. because dam sliding is one of those things were some one would say "hey hold my beer and watch this".
