damaged Eheim 2213

I'm looking at getting a used Eheim 2213. It is damaged and I want to know if the damage will affect how it works. See the picture and tell me what you think.

I think that's a microscopic picture and I cannot really tell what the damage would be ... Looks like a regular filter clip to me...

On his thread over at cichlid-forum he clarified by asking if the square hole that the clip goes in is supposed to be there.

The square hole is what the clip clips into. Without it there would be no way to secure the top of the canister.

I would send the seller an e-mail asking exactly what the damage is. Find out if it is cosmetic or if it is a problem that affects the performance of the filter. Even when I enlarge the picture on ebay I still can't see the damage.

I will ask again. When I asked about it today the guy just said he didn't know enough about filters to say. I'll phrase the question another way.
