Anyone tell me what's going with the eye of this pleco? It looks like its eye has shrunk or something. Would another pleco have done this? Other than plecos the only fish in the tank are 5 blind cave tetras. Tank is a 75gallon.

Second picture is a different pleco, just to compare with.

This is usually a sign of an underfed pleco.

Make sure you are giving him he's own food and not expecting him to eat algae or eat left overs.

When I get home I'll be sure to give them a nice chunk of zucchini and maybe some bell pepper as well. I've been feeding sinking pellets/wafers and zucchini already. But it's possible it hasn't been eating because I just got these pleco's on Thursday. Thanks for the info!

Yes its eyes are sunken in. See what the place you bought it from has been feeding it. Sunken eyes are a sign of not eating properly. Try NLS with the garlic in it.

I've been feeding 1mm and 3mm NLS Thera-A pellets to the fish in this tank along with some wafers of some sort, can't remember who made these. But main thing is just keeping an eye on her to make sure she's eating.

This is a pretty bad sign...At this state it may not take pellets. Yes try veggies and try to see if there is any other issues in the tank(aggressive bottom tank mates, lack of hiding space etc); but if that pleco does not sustain its eating, it will perish soon.

I'll be moving some fish out of that tank when I get home as well. Once that's done this tank will just have 4 L-183's and 1 common BN pleco. Hopefully with this and some veggies this little gal will start eating.
