Past few weeks.... I noticed some additional scales that looks just like the ones in the picture below. Is this damaged scales?, the area is not raised, not puffy, no stringy stuff...

Here's a pic of her back in Dec 2010, it's a bad picture sorry..

My brother had her and in may he gave up his fish hobby. Called me up and said I'm coming over with some of my fish. He gave me the Pike and Pleco both at 7 ".

I received her(pike) in May 2011, and the area you see has stayed pretty much the same until now. Tank mate is a pleco.

Now it's end of June, and the affected area has gotten bigger.

I plan on netting her and checking her out more closely to see what it is. Take a closer picture.

I have seen the pleco getting close to the pike on numerous occasions. The pike stands her ground and acts tough and the pleco leaves.

I don't want to rule out a Bacterial infection of sort. I’m hoping it's just damaged scales..

I hope to post a better picture tonight.

Would Melafix, Primafix and salt help her out?

Beautiful fish! Can you give a few more details: Water parameters (including temp), tank size, filtration, tank maintenance schedule (water changes, gravel vacuuming, etc).

Sure,
Ammo: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 40ppm (need to do another 50% water change again tonight)

Vaccum/clean sand twice a week, sometimes three times a week due to the pleco.
weekly Water change 50%

Water temp @ 79
Tank size is 82G... which is planted

Filtration Eheim Pro 3 2075
Rena XP2

the Pike mostly stays underneath the large driftwood.
Ever since my brother had the Pike, she had always stayed in a shelter. Her previous tanks mates, in my borthers tank, were a 7" Oscar, 7: Green Terror & the current Pleco.
I had only accepted the Pleco and the Pike. The plan was to get ride of the Pleco and only keep the Pike.
It's been a month now and can't get ride of the Pleco(free with food). Didn't really think the Pleco can do this to her.

After the long weekend. the pleco will be gone for sure. Will get a few dither fish instead later on once the Pike has healed up.
Once the Pleco is gone, Nitrates will be better for sure..

As long as she is eating and behaving normally, I would just monitor the pike for a couple weeks after the pleco is gone to see if this heals up or if it needs further treatment. Getting rid of the pleco will also help with the bioload in the tank and reduce nitrates. I wouldn't add any dithers until the pike is healed up. Keep up on the regular water changes and sand vacuuming - Perfect water is the best treatment.
