my heater is malfuntioning and the temp is at 68 degrees ARGGGGGGG gonna get another heater tommorrow but will they be allright overnite???

and another Q, would a female dempsey with just a female pink con work in a 30 gallon wide( got rid of my 40 sum gallon cause the floor was getting weaker ) so how bout it? will it work?:confused:

your fish will be less active for the time you dont have a heater but they will be fine...your fish will live for a little while but you will have to upgrade soon...will you upgrade sometime within a few months?

Hey at least it didn't break the other way... And well I don't use heaters with mine but I keep the room ~75 degrees, but I assume if they look fine right now they will be fine tonight.

if your floor got weak with a 40 some odd gallon tank what's going to happen when you get your new tank?

im not getting anymore tanks for a couple of months im getting rid of 1 FM 1 JD and the eyebiters and the bichir and just keep 1 female pink con 1 JD female and 1 female FM and the 2 kholio loaches

or just get rid the the female JD and then just keep my 2 FMs and my pink con in the 29... or whatever but just answer the heater Q please...

If your floor is getting weaker from a 40 gallon tank your house needs to be inspected by an engineer, that is certainly not structurally sound. This leads me to believe you were lying about the tank the entire time.

In regards to your question, certainly not. Look up any fish profile website and it will tell you that the bare minimum for a Jack Dempsey is 55 Gallons. Don't say it's temporary because you're just lying to yourself and everyone on these forums that has tried to help you in the past. You've made it blatantly clear you cannot be trusted.

You have a 29 Gallon, as a self proclaimed responsible fish keeper, you should take back every fish you own minus either your Firemouth pair, or if you want to keep your Albino Convict, you can maybe keep another Female Convict with it. Save the money you make from trading them in and put it towards purchasing a new tank, not towards new fish.
