been looking around forever for either a palmas polli or delhezi to put in my tank

went out of ton and stopped by a store and they had a baby polli for 20bucks... but he was SMALL and I sat forever trying to figure out if he would get eaten. my poly's arent very big, but they were big compared to him.

took the chance... he didn't last one night damn the luck. i even gorged the fish before turning the lights off

never trust that innocent look they give you. It's funny how no one respects their hunting skills until they eat a fish that was too big for them to eat one night. Polys ROCK!

I never had a problem on poly eating another poly. Maybe you should QT next time if you find a polli palmas.

Sucks doesn't it? I've had one eaten before too. I don't put any thing small enough to get eaten in their tank, unless I want it to be. I don't get how soooo many people put these different size poly's together without it happening. I guess it's just luck of the draw? I won't take that gamble anymore though.

they have some big senagalus and one big ornate there right now (ornate is 100 though)

Just outta curiousity do you know which one ate him? I notice my upper jaws will ignore fish that could clearly fit in thier mouths but my lapradei eats fish that even I think are safe...
