Damn floating sponge filter!

Any ideas how to get these to sink. It's a real PITA!

Before attaching the airline, place the sponge filter under water and squeeze the sponge to release the trapped air. Then, connect the air and you're done.

mine has a weight at the bottom that pulls it right down.

I have two of them stacked together, so i guess the weight insn't enough.

A dab of aquarium cement and a ceramic saucer glued to the bottom, or the bottom of a flowerpot tied to the bottom of the filter

I use suction cups to keep mine in place.

definatley too much air left in the sponge. i had the same problem with mine, and i just squeezed it underwater alot untill NO bubbles came from it...never had a problem again
