Damn, my jardini has suddenly started jumping

I don't know why, he's been absolutely fine for a week, relaxed, active, good appetite.

And this morning he's just been REPEATEDLY jumping, thudding against the lid, he's already lost a couple of scales.

My water is fine, the other fish are fine - what shall I do?

Is this just one of those things? Not necessarily for a reason?

Yes it is just one of those things,

What size is the tank? A larger tank helps reduce this.

Even my 24 inch leichardti still has these tantrums occasionally, usually lasts for about a week.

I just make sure that I am careful about the amount of movement around the tank. I also found that turning the lights off works. Just make sure you have some strong lids aswell and any sharp rocks/wood should be taken out.

cheers steve - he seems oke now. He has not done it since. A couple of scales are damaged and he has some skin missing around his mouth, but he doesn't seem affected at all.

He is 6 inches and for now he's in a 4 foot.

actually its their nature to jump around so dont worry about it mine already breaks my cover 2x
