Damn prices are so high! Getting some cichlids.

So live in Iceland and have been in the fish buisness for 7 years. Prices have always been high but now there is an LFS with a site you can order from, with some pretty rare fish.
So i ordered.

1x Parachromis Managuense 2" $15
1x Parachromis Dovii 1.5" $21
1x Cichlasoma Umbrifrerum (umbee) 2" $29

1x Red Tail Catfish 4" $68
1x Jaguar ray (Potamotrygon castexi) 10" $659

can't you buy guppies from the UK (very cheap) have them shipped in bulk to you and distribute them in iceland for the equivelent of 5$ each?

lol i agree, at that price i would be setting up a breeding tank for the guppies and one for the swordtails. easy money right there.

pretty much the same prices over hear in austraila.
i belive its because of lower population so less demand. so higher prices follow in the demand vs supply chart.

I'm assuming that's after converting the Icelandic Krona to USD? If so that's a rip, as I've not paid over $6.99 for any of those fish listed. (I've bought or seen labiatus ($4.99), altifrons ($6.99), lyonsi ($6.99), managuense ($3.99), dovii ($.99), and umbrifrerum ($6.99) all for sale at larger sizes.)

If you are not being charged extra shipping charges, then the Electric Blue Jack Dempseys are not that over priced (if they're really 2").
