Damn ups delayed my salton catfish by like 7 hrs. And it died. And when I got there to pick it up they were complete jerks about it. Acted like they didnt even give a damn. Furious. It sat at my local ups from 11 to 430 when they decided to open. So it just sat there and there was nothing I could do about it.

Sorry to hear, in general they're jerks about it ime.

Sorry for the loss. Hope u can get some credit for the catfish.

I know it pissed me off. I told them it was supposed to be at my house by 1030 and I went up there to pick it up at 430. Tbey didnt find the fish until almost 515 and then they just dropped the package on the counter.

I feel your pain. It is very, very, very much familiar to me.

It doesn't matter which carrier. They have about the same attitude on average, UPS, USPS, FedEx. They get a LOT of flack from people. All the time. People are not happy with them. Dogs bark at them and bite them. The gates are not open for them to deliver. Mailboxes are broken. Mail is not picked up and the box gets full. Etc. I don't think I've ever met a person who'd say "Hey, my postman is gr-r-reat!" They have learned to grow a thick skin, because otherwise it is too stressful, impossible to work there. It'd drive you nuts.

The problem with the thick skin - it is indiscriminatory to valid and less than valid cases, especially on ground zero. Higher up, you may find some more responsiveness.

I've had them come to the counter with the arrow pointing down. When they notice they just flip it over.

I shipped out 1500 worth of dart frogs and what you described happened. They basically lost it for hours. Overnight hold at facility. They were on the hook so they had more of a sense of urgency.

Never, ever, evvvaa ship animals around xmas.
