Hey,

I shure wanna say naughty words right now, but I don't. You see, it's like this, my tank is broke!!! :swear:

This was my tank 2 days ago.

This is what I found when I got home.

As you can see the glass is sticking out quite a bit.

And this is my current set-up, with 5 platy's in a bucket with a eheim 2217 (1000 l/h)

I am so angry, because I was gonna pick-up my bichir in about a week, and now I have to completly buy a new tank for just 2-3 month's when my big tank arrives.

Why me? :swear:

Well that stinks!! Is it under warranty at least?-Anne
It looks like its overhanging the stand. If it is thats probably why it broke. It needs to be fully supported around the entire tank perimiter

No, it sadly no longer is unter warranty. And the stand is a Juwel (like the tank) stand specially made for this tank. There is a wooden board unter the tank to support it, but you've seen it right, the actual stand is not as wide as the tank it's self.

I feel your pain. If the glass panels are only separated and not cracked let the sides dry. Then pry them apart and inject aquarium silicone between them and put plywood on the sides, (to pad the) furniture clamps to pull the sides back together firmly for 24 hrs. Refill and check for leaks. You won't have to fill it completely, just enough to keep your fish alive until your big tank arrives.
I did this with our 38 gallon that a rogue pacu-RIP- pushed the front panel out of. It's up and running again fully filled (and properly supported) and with much smaller fish.

That's a good advice, thanks! But the problem is that I am gonna get 6 P. bichir lapradei so I need all the space I kan get.

Because the big tank is gonna be 70 cm wide, I think I am just gonna order a 80(max length because of the room for the sump)*60*40 (high). So I can place it unter the new tank as a quarante tank.
Hope the filter bacteria can last a week or so while filtering the bucket, so I don't have to start cycling all over again.

That a good idea to! How large do you think it should be to house the fish metioned above?

ohh man that sucks i remember when my 29gallon front bursted out with 4 rbp in it. know that was a mess.thank lord for carpet cleaners........

Yeah, I have put my heater up high and my window open. So I hope most will vaporise. Towels are great to :).

platies are very rough aggressive and powerful fish, make sure the glass is at least a full inch thick next time.
